Summer Reading Sign Up Begins: Sign up online now for the Adult Program or the Youth Program or you can sign up in person at the library.
First Day To Check in: Monday, June 13th

Adult & Teen Summer Reading Program

Online checkin form for week #4 (Jul7 4-9)
Participants in the Adult & Teen Summer reading program are eligible for weekly drawings for gift certificates from local businesses just for checking in. Additionally, everyone checking in for the first time receives a coupon for a free Cone Cottage junior cone (one coupon per participant), and anyone checking in at least six of the seven weeks wins a Crete Public Library camp mug! There are even more chances for random prizes for those who play the weekly game at the Information Desk.
Don’t get lost in the woods – follow these directions:
- Any adult or teen with a valid library card is eligible to participate.
- Record any material checked out from the library on your reading log. Download a copy here or pick up a copy at the library.
- Weekly check-in options: in-person, by phone (708-672-8017) or online.
- One weekly prize ticket per week. Only library cards in good standing can win.
- Weekly games can only be played in-person by the actual participant (not a family member or friend).
- Qualifying materials include books, audiobooks, ebooks/audiobooks, and magazines. No DVDs or children’s books.
Youth Summer Reading Program
Sign up start date: Now online or in person at the library
Come into the library’s Youth Services Department to pick up your Summer Reading Bag and Summer Reading Log. Read at least 5 times each week and turn in your log the following week for prizes! Receive a Cone Cottage coupon for a junior cone upon your first check-in. First day to check-in is June 13. Participate in Camp BINGO for a chance to win some pretty awesome prizes! And don’t forget to register for our amazing, in-person programs this summer! Call the library for more information: 708-672-8017 and ask for Youth Services.
