Register to Vote

The Crete Public Library is pleased to generally offer voter registration services from 10 am to 5 pm Monday-Thursday and 10 am to 4 pm on Friday. Evening and Saturday hours are occasionally available. Please call 708-672-8017 to confirm the availability of a deputy voter registrar before visiting the Library.

Registration Information

You can register to vote if you are:

  • A  U.S. citizen
  • 18 years old by the date of the next election
  • Residing at your current address for 30 days prior to the election

To register, you will need two forms of ID. One must have your current name and address.

  • Utility Bill
  • Checkbook
  • Library Card
  • Credit Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Employee/Student ID Card
  • Insurance Card

Registering Online

If a deputy registrar is not available, you can register to vote via the Will County Clerk’s website. If you do register online, you must vote IN PERSON the first time you vote. See the above website for more information or call the Will County Clerk’s Office at 815-740-4620.
