Patron Services Assistant

Join our enthusiastic, patron-focused staff in a beautiful facility in this pleasant south suburban community (population served 18,000).

Job Description: This staff member is part of the 6 person Patron Services Department and provides consistent, gracious, and friendly service to internal and external customers. Duties include regularly working the Patron Services Desk, checking library materials in and out, performing patron and data entry, answering telephone and referring calls. May sort and process ILL deliveries. Understands and enforces library policies and procedures while safegarding confidential and restricted information. Performs other duties as assigned by Patron Services Manager.

Hours: Part-time, non-exempt (minimum of 10 hours a week, not to exceed 18 hours a week if needed). Applicant must have the ability to be flexible, working multiple morning, evening, and weekend shifts based on department needs.

Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Two years of office/retail work experience with an emphasis on excellent customer service.

Salary: $13.00/hr
