The Friends of the Crete Public Library is a nonprofit, 509 (a)(2) organization whose purpose is to focus public attention on library services, facilities and needs. The Friends provide funds to improve the library collection, sponsor programs and also volunteer to help with programs and special projects.
The Friends are now accepting donations of used books in good condition, DVDs and CDs (please no encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines or videotapes.)
The Friends meet the fourth Tuesday of the month (except for June, July and December) at 7:00 p.m. in the library. New Friends are always welcome.
Membership is open to everyone in the community at the following levels:
Members are not required to volunteer, however, we offer a number of opportunities to get involved in our activities, including our Book Sales and helping with library programs. See our Friends of the Library membership form for more volunteer opportunities.
