Document Actions

The mission of the Foundation is to seek out and develop sources of funding to enhance the Library facility and provide materials that will expand and enrich the Library's resources.

The Crete Library Foundation was established in 1994 as a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation to support the Crete Public Library with private funds.

A Board of Directors, composed of community volunteers, Library Trustees and the Administrative Librarian, manages the Foundation's business and affairs. The Foundation Directors are responsible for fund-raising activities and for the distribution of all acquired financial contributions to benefit the Library.

The next meeting of the Foundation will be Tuesday, November 8 @ 7:00 p.m.

This past year, the Foundation provided sponsorship for the Fall Family Fun Fest and donated $1000 to support local students participating in the Odyssey of the Mind academic competition.

Recently, The Foundation provided the food for the Fall Family Fun Fest and purchased new artwork by local artist Wynn Hopkins for the library. The Foundation donated $500 towards this year’s Crete Country Christmas.
