"There are times when I think that the ideal library is composed solely of reference books. They are like understanding friends--always ready to meet your mood, always ready to change the subject when you have had enough of this or that."

—Donald J. Adams (b. 1924) [Maxwell Smart] American actor

No current project? Yarn and needles will be supplied to work on collaborative projects such as Warm Up America -- knit or crochet blankets, new born caps & friendship shawls for local organizations; Project Linus -- knit or crochet security blankets for children in need; Mother Bear Project --knit or crochet bears for children affected by HIV/AIDS; Scarves from the Heart -- provide cancer survivors with a scarf; and Snuggles Project -- blankets for shelter animals.

If you are unable to attend a meeting you may stop by the library and pick-up a pre-packaged project kit to make at home, then return it to the library where a group member will see that your item is distributed to the appropriate organization.

Anyone is welcome to attend and bring whatever project they are working on: knitting, crocheting, needlework, sewing, whatever! Come for assistance or advice from your fellow needleworkers, or just for the companionship. All levels welcome! No registration is necessary.
