Library Foundation


The mission of the Foundation is to seek out and develop sources of funding to enhance the library facility and provide materials that will expand and enrich the library’s resources.

The Foundation was established in 1994 as a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation to support the library with private funds. A Board of Directors manages the Foundation. The Directors are responsible for fund-raising and the distribution of all acquired contributions to benefit the library.

The Foundation has provided funds for the following library projects, among others.

The Foundation provides expanded opportunities for the Library to support our community and community events. The Foundation once again made a $1000 donation to support local students participating in the Odyssey of the Mind academic competition. Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. Thousands of teams from throughout theU.S.and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.
