Who We Are

     Welcome to the Crete Public Library District, serving the Village of Crete and most of Crete Township.  Residents in the library district have access to a variety of print and non-print materials, education and recreational programs as well as to computers and the Internet. 

 Check us out! We supply both traditional and virtual library service.  Our well-trained and friendly staff is here to assist you.  Crete Public Library District is a “Wi-Fi Hotspot” providing free high-speed access!  It is also home to an in-depth collection of antique and collectible books and the Millennium Movie Collection featuring notable movies from the American Film Institute.

        The Crete Public Library District is a member of the Metropolitan Library System allowing our patrons access to the SWAN online card catalog listing over 70 different public libraries' collections. As a member, our patrons enjoy reciprocal borrowing privileges with these libraries and interlibrary loan service.
