New Programs for Teens 'n Tweens
Too cool to hang out with the “kids?” Then we want you in the Crete Public Library teens ‘n tweens programs!
Not only are we updating our teen space to make it a more comfortable place to hang out with friends, we are developing more programs for youths in that in-between age. Make sure to visit the teens ‘n tweens space on the first floor soon!
Starting in February, the first Friday of the month will feature a “Teens ‘n Tweens” evening where youths will be able to hang out at the library after it closes at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. February’s theme: “Anti-Valentine’s Day.” Bring a snack or game to share and tell your friends!
New programs for tweens ages 9 and up begin in January, too: Writing Club, Art 101 and the Poetry Slam.
Watch our website for additional upcoming teens ‘n tweens events, including game nights, craft events and more. If you have an idea for a program, please let us know about it, and if you want to join a youth advisory board, stop at either the Children’s Services or Adult Services desks.
