Crete Public Library provides you with online access to complete articles from thousands of magazines and journals, as well as biographies, reports, pamphlets and more. To access these databases, you will need either your library card's barcode or authorization codes provided by the Reference Desk at (708) 672-8017.

EBSCOhost Full-Text Resources: One of the nation's leading subscription database vendors, EBSCOhost provides databases that offer information, photographs, and images on nearly every topic.

ECO (Electronic Collections Online):  An OCLC collection of scholarly journals, some full-text, which includes all of the original content and images of articles.  Topics covered include:  agriculture, library science, anthropology, literature, business, medicine, economics, philosophy, education, political science, fine arts, psychology, geography, religion, history, science, language, social science, law, and technology. Illinois Catalog:  An online catalog containing millions of bibliographic records cataloged by Illinois OCLC member libraries.  Materials cataloged include:  books, manuscripts, websites and internet resources, maps, computer programs, musical scores, films and slides, newspapers, journals and magazines, sound recordings, articles, chapters, papers, and videotapes held by Illinois libraries.  Please ask at the Adult Services Reference Desk for the authorization code and password.

I-Share: 76 libraries in the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI) contribute records to I-Share.  This is a great place to find text books, scholarly titles, and hard to find resources in all disciplines.

OAIster:  Contains digital resources from open archive collections. Represents multidisciplinary resources from more than 1000 contributors worldwide. Records contain a digital object link allowing users access to the object in a single click. Please ask at the Adult Services Reference Desk for the authorization code and password.

WorldAlmanac:  Includes Funk & Wagnall's New Encylopedia, the World Almanac and Book of Facts, the World Almanac of the U.S.A., the World Almanac of U.S. Politics, and the World Almanac for Kids.  Please ask at the Adult Services Reference Desk for the authorization code and password.

Gale LegalTrac: Indexes major law reviews, legal newspapers, bar association journals and international legal journals. Also includes law-related articles from over 1,000 additional business and general interest titles

Gale Small Business Resource Center: Find the best information on starting and maintaining a successful small business, from conducting industry research to financial planning, to marketing a product and franchising a business. Includes sample business plans, how-to guides, articles and websites.

Morningstar Investment Research Center: Designed to help new and experienced investors make more informed and intelligent investing decisions. Get comprehensive financial information on NYSE, ASE and NASDAQ stocks, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, as well as return information on various investment indexes and groups. EBSCOhost: Access a broad range of full-text magazine articles and bibliographic databases.

EBSCO History Reference Center: Full-text history reference database designed for secondary schools, public libraries, junior/community colleges, and undergraduate research. Covers more than 2,500 reference books, encyclopedias, non-fiction books, and history periodicals and includes photos, maps and historicial video.

Gale History Resource Center - U.S.: Provides integrated access to over 4,000 historical (primary) documents, articles from more than 30 reference titles, and over 110 full-text journals covering themes, events, individuals and periods in U.S. history from pre-Colonial times to the present.

EBSCO Computer Source: Computer Source provides the latest information and current trends in high technology. This database offers full text articles for nearly 300 publications and indexing & abstracts for nearly 450 publications.

EBSCO Professional Development Collection: Designed for professional educators. Provides a highly specialized collection of education journals and educational reports - the most comprehensive collection of full-text education journals in the world.
